AIT BEN HADDOU EXCURSION

At 190 km from Marrakech and crossing the high mountains of the High Atlas by the Tizin Tichka pass which offers extraordinary landscapes, we find the Kasbah (or Ksar which is a traditional fora village of Berber architecture) of Ait Ben Haddou, a complex of clay and stone surrounded by walls with several gates and beautifully decorated buildings.
The village is like a set of earthen buildings surrounded by walls. The houses are grouped within its defensive walls reinforced by corner towers. Some of its dwellings seem to be small castles with high towers decorated with raw brick designs.
