Very relaxing environment, such a pretty place, would definitely recommend, in a good location in the Medina, with lots of really excellent places nearby, staff were friendly, breakfast was good, and the tortoises added a lovely touch, this is the second visit we have had here and recommend it over any other riad

Everything was perfect, the location the staff very friendly, especially KARIM and MOHAMED and all the other staff were very helpful and polite.

I had a really big, quiet and nicely furnitured room. The stuff was very kind and supportive. They even walked with me through the Medina to reach the taxi.

Booking experience with Lara and the communications/emails were fantastic.
We were met at the airport and taken to the Riad, The Riad was perfect location for what we wanted, right in the Soukes/Madina.

Check in was fine, the usual mint tea and biscuits.As travelling with my 18yr old daughter I pre booked a suite at 105euro per night , the biggest room they offered ( 2 beds in a large suite ) to give both privacy, Now DO NOT spend extra on an upgrade as they DO NOT have suites even though the claim to have, I think they just make up what the customer request, they put us in a double room with 1 x double bed, after a very polite request to the management and we explained we booked a suite, they suggested by the time we got back from our night out all will be sorted…. Oh no, they had just plonked a single bed 18” from the double bed.
We spoke to other guests and peered in their rooms and oh yes not much difference in size and some were at 70euro per night.
So book the cheapest and it’s pot luck what you get.
After a chat we decided to just put up and shut up for the sake of 4 nights.

First breakfast next morning was a disaster, we were given tea, 4 cold pancakes with preserve and offered a plain omelette if required , this was our only breakfast here, now I have stayed in many Riads in Marrakesh over the years and the breakfasts have ALWAYS been a lavish style buffet type breakfast, this wasn’t worth the money we were charged, we got far far better the next 3 mornings at a fraction of the cost.
I just felt this establishment were only concerned about money as they increase the charge of everything so my advice is book your own taxis/excursions, meals outside of the riad.

This Riad is very noisy so if you want a quiet nights sleep without motorbikes, doors banging etc then don’t book here.

The water was hot but very slow and each time stopped mid shower so bit of an inconvenience.

It has been a life long dream to visit Marakesh and stay in a colourful beautiful Riad and this was it. I can mot express how warm, beautiful, friendly and welcoming this place is. Yan, Cedric, Hamza and the amazing staff including Rashida 'the queen of the kitchen', Ibriham our kind hearted porter and Abdil hadi our wonderful guide. They made our stay magical, fun and beautifully humane. The riad is an artistic treat and glorious to stay in. I can not recommend the Chofra enough.

El sueño de mi vida era visitar Marakesh y alojarme en un hermoso y colorido Riad, y éste lo fue. No puedo expresar lo cálido, hermoso, amable y acogedor que es este lugar. Spent a week at this beautiful Riad in July 2022 with sister and adult daughter. Our rooms were clean and very comfortable, our room had a hairdryer with diffuser, worth 5 stars just for that! Can’t praise the staff enough, they were welcoming, friendly, helpful and fun! We had a lovely breakfast each day, snacks and dinner were also served as requested! Abdu and Hamza were full of advice on where to eat and shop and booked a couple of day trips for us. Also has a chilled rooftop terrace for pre dinner drinks and a cool pool to dip into after a busy day. We will definitely be back to Marrakesh and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else!

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 2 Nights and it has been so nice. The staff is very friendly and keen to help at Any time. After a few hours it felt like We’re a Family. Turtles are walking around in the pool area and you can Feed them of you like. You get to know More about the staff in such a Short period of time which is very lovely. Especially Hamza is very nice and makes the Best Berber Whisky.

The family-like atmosphere of Chorfa provides a calm oasis within the storm of Marrakech. Beautiful, exotic, warm and welcoming. They helped us to navigate this interesting and vibrant city like a native.

Riad Chorfa is exceptional, not only because of its great location in the medina, or its beautiful bedrooms, relaxing courtyard, and spacious roof terrace, but because of the people. Special thanks to Hamid, Hamza, Khalid, and the amazing on-site chef, Rachida, who together made our stay in the wonderful city of Marrakesh truly magical. We can't wait to go back.

After booking this riad over 2 years ago we finally got here in the end. The staff are really friendly and helpful and make you feel very welcome.

The riad is very instagrammable and pretty.
There are tortoises here around the pool area which was lovely to see :)

The rooms are authentic and colourful.
The shower is based in the bedroom with a big wall inbetween. The shower worked well and nice temperature.

When we arrived there was a candle lit in the room with a wax melt which smelt lovely and was a nice little touch :)

Really recommend staying here when in Marrakech! Based in the heart of the medina, it's an excellent location.

We stayed in this beautiful Riad for three nights and had a phantastic time. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and very kind and helpful with all concerns you could possibly have. We were welcomed with minth tea and cookies, were given some explanations for the city incl. a helpful map and were shown our lovely room. The Riad is beautifully decorated, the traditional style seems to be fallen out of an oriental dream. The rooms are put together with a lot of love for details, are very clean and roomy. Once we arrived in front of the historical town wall, we were picked up by a friendly guy who showed us the way to the Riad (you can't drive there with a car as it is in the medina). This place is perfectly located near all the beautiful sights and you can walk everywhere. Breakfast was included in the price and abolutely tasty - freshly baked cake, pancakes, traditionally baked bread, fresh yoghurt with honey, fresh fruit etc. All in all that was a phantastic stay, we highly recommend this place.

the beds filled the room to the point, that you couldn‘t open the tiny clothes closet. The bathroom was not separated from the bedroom, no door, and next to the toilet the floor dropped 50 centimeters - that was the shower. Nice people and plenty of coffee in the morning.

Just came home from staying 3 nights in the lovely Riad Chorfa.
This place is like an Oasis of calm in the middle of crazy Marrakech!
Beautiful environment, very peaceful and feels homely.
The staff are absolutely fantastic, very attentive and will do anything to help. We got lost in the markets and got into trouble with a group of lads- we called the Riad and one of the staff (Simo) came and rescued us - we are very grateful for that and cannot thank him enough.
Breakfast was lovely, fresh coffee and pancakes and local cakes.
The place was very clean and our room was gorgeous - very traditional, lovely local shampoo and shower gels and really cosy.
The only slight criticism I have is the shower in our room (room 9) does not work very well!
Overall, if you are looking for a place to stay in Marrakech - this place is fantastic - 5 minutes walk to main square and the main souk.
If we ever cone back to Marrakech we would definitely stay at Riad Chorfa again.

he hotel itself was great, beautiful yard and roof garden, room very spacious. Cleaning of the room, changing linen and supplying toiletries every day.
Location is very close to all sightseeing

In bottom side, the breakfast was very basic. It was yogurt, butter and jam.i was appealing for more than this. There is also mint tea, fresh orange juice and coffee

Finally; I didn't know about city taxes and was asked to pay at the end. I checked my booking confirmation and it was included in the price, I offered the man at the reception to charge my card but I was asked only cash
I reminded them that they have a card machine and I don't have enough cash for taxi if I settle it in cash. The man at reception suddenly became aggressive and shouted to pay only in cash. I was lucky that the owner of hotel just turn up and apologised. His behaviour was absolutely out of respect and shocking and happily ended by the French owner of the hotel

This is a rather large riad about 5 mins walk from the main square with a central courtyard where people gather and where breakfast is served. It's pleasant enough, but they don't go the extra mile as do others I stayed in Marrakech and elsewhere in Morocco. The room was a good size, although on the ground floor with no window. The breakfast was ordinary at best. I found the attitude here indifferent and not completely guest focused. I wouldn't say the experience was bad but it wasn't great either, 6 or 7 out of 10. There are many better choices.

Had a 4 night stay here with my mum and 5 year old. The location is wonderful to explore the Médina and the staff here could not do enough to help. Recommended safe places to eat, suggested places to visit and treated my daughter like a princess.. would highly recommend this place to anyone!!!

My journey in Morocco started and ended in Marrakech. I reserved Riad Chorfa for my last night to catch a flight back home to the States. Since it was in January, it was pretty chilly in the mornings and evenings. With that said, this is a Riad, so they will have heaters in each room and the common courtyard area would be quite cold. Even as it warms up in the day, these traditional homes that are now often turned to hotels and guest houses keep the cool air in. The heater in my room wasn’t effective at all. I’ve had this experience throughout my trip in Morocco but the difference was I mostly rented out an entire Riad instead of staying in one reserved room, so if one room didn’t have good heating I had other empty rooms to choose from. I didn’t have an option in this case even as staff tried to assist in increasing the temp.

As far as the decor, it’s gorgeous, lots of picture worthy spots in this hotel. I had the pleasure of dining at the hotel, their food was delicious, the dining area is beautiful. Needless to say, I plopped myself right next to the fire place because I was always cold. (I do get cold easily).

Staff was accommodating in holding a rug I had purchased earlier during my trip when I had first landed in Marrakech. It had been delivered to the hotel, so by the time I traveled back to Marrakech and checked in, it was there waiting for me.

If you want to stay in a Riad, consider some of the nuisances that may come with these beautiful structures: depending on the weather- it might be too chilly, ensure your heater works! if it’s a Riad converted into a hotel, consider the noise level as the rooms and many times the windows are facing the indoor-ish courtyard where people may dine and congregate. If you are sharing a room with your friends, be aware that some rooms may not provide enough privacy. sometimes the bathrooms don’t have doors, my room was two levels where I walked up the bathroom which overlooked my entire room and had a window that looks out into the courtyard. this might be an awkward situation when you need a door to close, even more awkward because I feel like you can probably hear EVERYTHING, even from the courtyard.

My stay was nice, the place is gorgeous, staff were helpful, but I prefer renting out an entire home via Airbnb for myself for the same price or cheaper than just having one room to myself. If hotels are your preference I would recommend this place as along as you can deal with the small nuisances.

Six of us stayed in two triple rooms. Rooms were lovely however be prepared if you are sharing as there are no doors between room and toilet so know your sharers well . The guys at the Riad were. very helpful in recommending money change etc and couldnt do enough to make our stay great. Breakfast was good, the homemade yoghurt was delicious as were the jams and pancakes. Would not necessarily recommend the meal in the evening though. We had better elsewhere. Great location and actually having read some of the other reviews it was very quiet in the evening. I didn’t hear any noise from the street. Everything was very clean. The bed linen was beautiful cotton but the air con could be a little temperamental- but again the staff were immediately on fixing any issues. Would def recommend for a relaxed authentic stay.

Riad Chorfa was perfect! The entire staff was incredible and hospitable. The breakfasts were delicious as was the rest of their food! An amazing night’s sleep, and in the perfect location as well! The Riad was a short walk from Jemaa elFnaa, but not right on the main road, so it felt more inside of the Médina. The vibes were perfect if you want a fun, relaxed and authentic Moroccan vacation.
